WHAT TO EXPECT

Individual, Psychosexual, Couples and Relationship Therapy
When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grow up.
I wrote down ‘happy’ They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life”

– John Lennon

During the initial session, we will talk about the difficulties you are experiencing at this time and how therapy could help you overcome these problems. This session will last 50 minutes and will enable us to get a sense of how we might work together. There is no obligation to continue therapy after this first meeting.

We will explore and discuss what you would like to achieve and develop a personalised plan, which will help us to work through what is troubling you and discuss your goals. We can then discuss whether short term counselling or long term psychotherapy might suit you best.

Should you decide that you would like to continue, you will be offered a contract which will specify the terms of our arrangement – there is no commitment to a fixed amount of sessions at any point during the work together. We will usually arrange weekly 50 minute sessions at a mutually convenient time.

When our agreed course of treatment nears completion, we will discuss how you feel you are progressing and whether we should continue with the sessions or work towards an agreed ending.

Fees:

Individual Counselling – £60 (50 mins)

Couples Counselling – £70 (50 mins)

Please kindly note that there is a 48 hour cancellation notice period for all appointments. The full session fee will be due should cancellation be made within this time.
